I've grown up on pickled onions, i'm 48 years old, i now live in the usa and they are so hard to come by.These onions definitely are crunchy, but man....whatever they are pickled in is way too strong, it's not just regular malt vinegar with a little bit of pickling spices, it's way overboard, i could eat an entire jar of ASDA pickled onions ( the best i know of at this time) in one sitting if i had to, never would but they are just so delicious! This Garners version could be so much better if they backed off of the flavor, it's just a little to overpowering. Other than that i enjoyed them but i will continue my search, Haywards Pickled Onions, also on ebay taste great but.... they are never crunchy enough, not sure why they are so popular but they seem to be the favored choice over here, has to be some politics involved me thinks because i never saw them when i lived in the UK.I'm English, and I grew up eating the common [and very nice] Hayward's pickled onions. But on a trip back to England this summer, the friends with whom I was staying introduced me to Garner's. OMG, I have wasted my life! [Ok, just the pickled onion part of my life, but that's bad enough.]Garner's pickled onions are PLATONIC PICKLED PERFECTION! It must be the barley malt vinegar that's the key, for that's the only ingredient (other than the onions themselves). This barley malt vinegar is as deliciously complex as a fine wine, or as a 10-year old Zhenjiang black vinegar.Don't waste your life, as I did---Buy Garner's NOW!A little softI love these pickled onions ! Just like home made.Fabulous, fabulous onions. They came from the UK and could have been better protected. One jar had a dinged cap and some of the vinegar had seeped out. The Post Office was great and rewrapped in plastic. Having said that the product itself is marvelousExcellent taste. Best pickle onions. You do not ship the size advertised very poor indeed . You only shipped 454 g not 750g as advertised a very poor practice. I would never order again
