Please note the EDIT after this, my first comment: "AFTER" I bought the product I read the review from some person named "customer 12." The person took actual photos and posted it with his review and it was "NOTHING" like the eye appealing picture on the can. It was exactly like the reviewer stated, "it was like paste." It was simply like as if you opened a can of tomato or pasta sauce except it wasn't red. You will not see any of the vegetables like in the picture on the can, it's kinda a yellowish/brown paste color in my opinion. I took a taste of it and it wasn't that bad but nothing I'd really like to eat on a consistent basis. Anyway this is another of "my bad" situations for not reading the Amazon Reviews!!!! EDIT: After calming down because I was upset with the very deceptive picture, which I might add is still true. The fact is, the taste opinion I gave was based on a spoonful only. And due to the fact I was upset with the picture not matching the reality of what it really looked like, I probably over-reacted. Anyway after putting it in the refrigerator, a couple days later I tasted it again and it doesn't taste that bad after all. So I had to clear my conscience with this edit. But they still should not have made that eye appealing photo as it is not true, as you cannot even see any of the beans that are in it.i added an extra can of chickpeas and it was still too hot for me, but my love likes tobasco sauce and curry. he loved the taste but he can't eat this often as it is extremely hot.it seems to come from france and why it tastes so good.Great food, but lots of dented cans I wouldn't have bought. Not shipped in Pantry boxes. Usually pantry orders are dent-free, but now Amzn is looking more like Wmt.But it tasted pretty good. I don't know what happened to the price though. This was a buck eighty eight a month ago. Definitely not worth six fifty. This was very tasty. The potatoes and onions are so finely diced, that all I could see were chick peas in the sauce. The spices used tasted very good. On the label it states it can be served over pasta, rice, couscous, or bread. I chose to make some polenta and pored the chick pea combination over it. We will buy this again.Very good, but too salty. Plan to eat it with a lot of other food to distribute the salt! I'm ordering it again, but with less salt it would get 5 stars. This was the best canned or packaged Indian food I have ever eaten!!! I just opened the can, heated, and served over rice.First time buying this brand and did not expect a can but my husband who is originally from India finds these really work for lunch at work.
